The Scots College, a prestigious private boys’ school with nine campuses across NSW, undertook the restoration of the heritage-listed Primrose House in Dolls Point. This adaptive reuse project transformed the property into a modern educational facility for the Brighton Preparatory School.
Designed to accommodate 250 students and up to 24 staff members, the restoration carefully balanced heritage preservation with the practical needs of a contemporary learning environment.
ptc. has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with The Scots College, providing traffic and parking expertise across multiple campuses. Our team has worked on the Victoria Road campus masterplan update, the Preparatory School, and the Early Learning Centre in Bellevue Hill.
For the Primrose House restoration, our team delivered tailored traffic engineering solutions that addressed the unique challenges of converting a heritage property into a functioning school.
We prepared a Transport Impact Assessment and Construction Traffic Management Plan to ensure minimal disruption during the restoration works. Our civil design package supported the Development Application, addressing parking requirements and traffic flow for the new educational use.
Following the initial project, ptc. was re-engaged to prepare a traffic impact statement for additional developments including a new school hall and classrooms, as well as the relocation of staff parking facilities.
