Women in Parking lands in Australia

Cristina Lynn, Vice President of PAA at WIP Launch Event

At a recent PAA event in Sydney, PTC Managing Partner and Treasurer of the Parking Association of Australia, Cristina Lynn, launched the Australian chapter of Women In Parking.  Australia is the first outpost of the US association by the same name, and members will enjoy an array of benefits as well as great networking opportunities.

The launch event included a dynamic presentation by author, Michelle Bowden on the art of persuasion and how to improve your influence.   Attendees also received a copy of Michelle’s book, How to Present, which is a popular business title.  Professional development opportunities such as this will be a feature of future WIP events.  Judging from the audience response, Michelle’s insightful presentation was enjoyed by all.

The new association welcomes women not just from the parking “industry”, but across many sectors where women have parking-related projects as part of their brief – retail, airports, urban planning, architects, property owners and managers, developers, to name a few.  The more diverse the group, the more potential to learn from others about the way parking challenges are managed and opportunities optimised!
