Nine Years of Partnership: Evolving Transport Strategies for SHORE

The Sydney Church of England Grammar School (SHORE) is a prestigious independent Anglican institution serving Sydney’s lower north shore community. With its main campus in North Sydney accommodating Year 3 students onwards and the Northbridge campus housing early learning facilities and sports grounds, SHORE provides education across two strategic locations. The school’s continuous development and expansion have required careful transport planning to ensure safe, efficient access for students, staff, and the wider school community.

Since 2016, ptc. has been assisting with SHORE’s transport infrastructure across both campuses. Our long-standing partnership began with traffic advice for the new Physical Education Centre construction, where we delivered swept path analysis and Construction Traffic Management Plans for FDC Construction and Fitout.

Following the initial works, we have been engaged in different occasions by SHORE directly or via other disciplines to assist in addressing the unique traffic challenges of school environments, where children’s safety is paramount. We developed Traffic Management Plans and access strategies that prioritise student wellbeing while maintaining efficient traffic flow for parents during peak drop-off and pick-up times.

Working closely with SHORE’s team, we have been providing strategic traffic engineering advice for the school’s long term infrastructure objectives. From due diligence assessments evolving into full Traffic Impact Assessments to operational management plans that enhance daily campus functionality, our solutions support SHORE’s educational mission while managing complex transport demands.
