In August 2025, ISPT lodged a State Significant Development Application for a $1.58 billion data centre at Julius Avenue, North Ryde, approximately 15 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. The proposed six-storey facility will house two data halls alongside an ancillary five-storey office building and an enclosed generator gantry. When completed, the data centre will deliver an IT load of 115.2 megawatts and a peak power draw of 169 megawatts. The site benefits from strong public transport connectivity, with multiple bus routes nearby and North Ryde Metro Station within approximately an eight-minute walk.
ptc. supported Logic Project Co’s State Significant Development Application through traffic engineering advice and preparation of the Transport Impact Assessment and associated SSDA documentation. Leveraging the site’s public transport accessibility and its specific operational needs, ptc. justified a reduced parking provision below DCP requirements, resulting in 54 basement car spaces, six bicycle spaces and end‑of‑trip facilities. The reduced basement footprint supported lower construction costs and enabled the space to be repurposed for higher‑value operational uses
Our team prepared a Transport Impact Assessment that included traffic modelling across three intersections, using a SIDRA model to assess existing and future traffic conditions generated by the development. The team also provided parking design advice and swept path analysis to support the detailed design of vehicle access and circulation. A Preliminary Construction Traffic Management Plan and a Green Travel Plan were developed to address construction-phase impacts and promote sustainable travel for the future workforce
