Kansas City Library Car Park façade


We came across a wonderful example of how architecture
can enhance the environment this week – the new car park for the Kansas City
Public Library in Missouri, USA. The library itself is actually an old
converted marble bank; but the car park has been designed to look like a shelf
of books. And such books! All the classics are there. We understand that the
books were selected based on the statistics of the most borrowed books in the
library….
